Bordeaux & Burgundy

Day by Day

  1. Arrival in Bordeaux

Private transfer from the airport to your address in the city. The evening is free to walk the old 'Port of the Moon' and the Place de la Bourse's mirror pool before the estate visits begin.

Rear bench seating in a wide-body luxury van, standard configuration.
  2. Right Bank: Saint-Émilion

A private château visit in Saint-Émilion, with a tasting led by a professional sommelier. Lunch is arranged at the estate or a nearby village.

Terracotta rooftops of the hilltop village of Saint-Émilion, with vineyards in the valley beyond.
  3. Left Bank: Médoc

On to the Médoc for a different character from the Right Bank. For collectors, we can coordinate sourcing and purchase of specific bottles in parallel with the day's visits.

Rows of oak wine barrels stacked in a dimly lit cellar, their reflections visible on the wet floor.
  4. Bordeaux to Burgundy

Private transfer or high-speed rail toward Burgundy, with a lunch stop en route, arriving in the evening.

  5. Côte de Nuits

A domaine visit in the Côte de Nuits, the heartland of Pinot Noir, with a private tasting arranged around what the estate can accommodate.

Close-up of a cluster of dark grapes hanging on the vine in Vougeot, Burgundy.
  6. Côte de Beaune

Further domaine visits in the Côte de Beaune, with Michelin dining and food pairings in the evening.

An elegant restaurant table set with wine glasses and menus, no diners visible.
  7. Departure, or on to your next stop

Private transfer to the airport or station to conclude the journey — or continue on toward Paris or another destination.

Customisation Notes

This is a 7-day example — if you'd rather focus on a single region, or only have 5 days, the route compresses easily; it's a starting point, not a fixed itinerary. Bordeaux and Burgundy have quite different characters, and most guests favour one over the other — tell us what you usually drink and which regions interest you, and we'll weight the days accordingly. If you're travelling with family, or someone in your group doesn't drink much, we can weave château architecture, local food and countryside walks into the same days. For guests already routing through France, this itinerary can extend to Champagne or Cognac as well — tell us the rest of your trip and we'll fold in additional regions rather than treating this as a separate booking.
