Hotel Features

  • Camélia's lush garden terrace, set for dinner beneath string lights.

Mandarin Oriental, Paris occupies 251 Rue Saint-Honoré, a few steps from Place Vendôme, and is one of only eight hotels in the city to hold the official Palace distinction. The Art Deco building stands on the former site of the Nouveau Cirque, the circus Joseph Oller opened in 1886 and where the clown duo Foottit and Chocolat performed to Belle Époque Paris; the listed facade was carefully restored by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte when the hotel opened in 2011.

  • Bar 8's plant-filled terrace in the hotel's inner garden.

Camélia, the hotel's all-day brasserie, is now led by Chef Nina Haradji, who trained for over a decade under Thierry Marx at the hotel's former two-Michelin-star restaurant before taking the kitchen. Her seasonal, generous French cooking spills onto a lush camellia garden terrace, shared with Bar 8 next door for cocktails and Parisian-inflected snacks.

  • A Tibetan singing bowl used during a treatment at The Spa, inspired by the brand’s Oriental heritage.

The Spa pairs signature therapies rooted in the brand’s Oriental heritage with advanced Western treatments from Nescens, 111SKIN and Hydrafacial — bookended by a Lifestyle Consultation and a welcome ceremony for every guest.

  • The hotel is a five-minute walk from the Tuileries, the Louvre and the boutiques of Place Vendôme, with connecting and family rooms available for those travelling with children.

Room Types

  • Among the hotel's 98 rooms and 40 suites, Superior, Deluxe and Mandarin Rooms overlook Rue Saint-Honoré or the garden, with Family Rooms offering two connecting bedrooms; Junior Suites (55 sqm) and Deluxe Suites (61 sqm) add a separate living room, while Duplex Suites (65 sqm) spread the sitting and sleeping areas across two levels with Oriental design details.
  • The bedroom of a Couture Suite, with a garden view and an adjoining marble bathroom.

The Couture Suite, at 78 sqm, is conceived as a tribute to the fashion houses that have long defined Paris — rich textures and bespoke furnishings throughout a living area with dining for four and a kitchenette, and a marble bathroom stocked with Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle amenities.

  • A direct Eiffel Tower view from the bathroom of the Mandarin Penthouse Suite.

The Mandarin Penthouse Suite crowns the hotel with a double-height living room, a study and a private gym, opening onto a private terrace — and a bathroom with an unobstructed view straight down onto the Eiffel Tower.

MYVIPSERVICE Perspective

Mandarin Oriental, Paris suits travellers who want a contemporary, design-forward take on the Paris palace hotel — a real fashion-world address on Rue Saint-Honoré, an Art Deco building with genuine circus-era history, and rooms built for families or extended stays. Its interiors lean sleek and modern rather than gilded and classical, so travellers set on chandeliers and Belle Époque decor should look to one of the more traditional palaces instead; for those who want Place Vendôme on their doorstep and a Michelin-trained kitchen downstairs, this is a strong choice.
