Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, and the school holidays that follow make it a long weekend for many families. This guide covers five places in and around Paris, with what children can do at each one, from what age, and what has to be booked. Each place publishes its own programme and tickets, and hours can change, so check its own page before you go.
Disneyland Paris
The Disney Halloween Festival runs throughout Disneyland Park from 26 September to 1 November 2026, and the entertainment is included with park admission. The Disney Villains and Mickey and Friends appear in costume, the Mickey’s Halloween Celebration cavalcade passes along Main Street, U.S.A., with Daisy Duck opening the procession and Mickey closing it, and Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas are back for meet-and-greets.

On 31 October the park runs a special programme until 11 p.m., with character encounters and a fireworks show. Costumes are allowed that day, with restrictions on anything that covers the face or could be unsafe. It is a full day outside the centre of Paris, so we plan it around the car and the driver.
Parc Astérix
Peur sur le Parc, Parc Astérix’s Halloween event, runs from 3 October to 8 November 2026. The park labels its attractions by audience. Les Chaudrons infernaux and Cétautomatix are marked for the whole family, the Aire de Jeux du Petit Chêne and Aérodynamix for the youngest, and the haunted house, Le Tombeau des Dieux, is marked for thrill-seekers. For small children the park points to Les Chaudrons infernaux, La Forêt d’Idéfix and a face-painting workshop, which is paid.

Evening openings (the nocturnes) run on twelve dates, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., on a separate ticket, and they are aimed at older visitors. Several dates have already sold out, so book the day you want early.
Jardin d’Acclimatation
The Jardin d’Acclimatation, in the Bois de Boulogne, does not do Halloween this year. Its autumn season, from 3 October to 1 November 2026, is a Día de los Muertos celebration, the Mexican Day of the Dead, with shows and entertainment alongside the rides. The park sells a dated one-day pass and a flexible one, and the child price applies from 80 cm.

It is the gentlest option here, and the closest to the centre of Paris. The programme is detailed on the park’s own page, so check it for the day you choose.
Parc zoologique de Paris
On Saturday 31 October 2026 the Parc zoologique de Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, holds its Journée Frissons, from 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:00. It is included in the entry ticket and needs no booking. There are feeding sessions with pumpkins and spider webs, roaming fantastical creatures, a face-painting stand, and Planktonautes workshops where visitors can look at plankton under a microscope. Scary storytelling near the vultures is recommended from age 4.

Visitors in a complete costume get 20% off adult and child tickets, at the ticket desk only, on full-price tickets, on 31 October from 10:00 to 16:00. Fake firearms are not allowed.
The ghost hunt at the Hôtel de la Marine
The Hôtel de la Marine, on Place de la Concorde, runs a Halloween ghost hunt for children on Saturday 31 October 2026. Departures are every 15 minutes, from 14:15 to 17:30. It is for children from 5 years old, with their parents. Children go free and adults pay €9, and it is by reservation only, subject to places available.

It is the smallest of the five and the only one in the centre of Paris, in a building that is itself worth the visit. Because the places are limited, this is the one to reserve first.
How we organise it

Tell us how many children are coming, how old they are, and which day. We pick two places, not five, book the slots that need booking, arrange the car with child seats prepared in advance, and the driver waits throughout, so parents do not have to work out the transfers. For the wider picture, see our guide to children in Paris, our notes on choosing family experiences and our family and children services.
