Hotel Features
- Le Majestic was built in 1926 by architect Théo Petit — who also designed the Hôtel Normandy in Deauville — on land combining the former Hôtel Beau-Rivage and two neighbouring villas. The building was extended in 1928 by architects Charles Nicod and Émile Molinié, with interiors by Maurice Debenedetti. Directly opposite the Palais des Festivals and its famous red-carpet steps, it has been the Cannes Film Festival's grand hotel for nearly a century.
- Set on Boulevard de la Croisette, the hotel steps straight onto Cannes' best-known promenade — the Palais des Festivals, the beach and the city's luxury boutiques are all within a few minutes on foot.

The hotel's own private beach sits on a wooden pontoon over the Mediterranean, its striped loungers a fixture of the Croisette during festival season and through the summer.

Ciro's Cannes serves reinvented seafood on the private beach with panoramic sea views, while Beefbar Cannes offers a contemporary, casual-chic take on international dining — the venue now occupies the space that once housed the Croisette's Fouquet's brasserie. The Majestic Bar, a self-described mythical establishment, is considered a must for cocktails on La Croisette, and La Terrasse Piscine keeps things casual by the pool.

The Diane Barrière Spa partners with French skincare house Biologique Recherche, its treatment rooms and relaxation lounge facing the sea. A fitness centre, a private cinema, a kids' club, water sports and boat excursions round out the hotel's amenities, with the Casino Barrière Le Croisette a short walk away.

Room Types
- Standard categories range from Superior and Deluxe City View Rooms to Deluxe Partial Sea View and Prestige Sea View Rooms, with several offering connecting rooms for families. Junior Suites add a separate lounge, some with a sea-view balcony or a south-facing terrace; Superior and Deluxe Sea View Suites reach up to 915 sqft. A handful of individually decorated suites — Riviera, Balancine, Escale, Horizon and Mélodie — each bring their own nautical or contemporary theme and a sea-view terrace, several with butler service included.

The Michèle Morgan Suite, named for the celebrated French actress, spans two bedrooms with their own private marble bathrooms, a spacious living room, a balcony over the hotel grounds and sea, and butler service.

MYVIPSERVICE Perspective
Le Majestic Cannes suits travellers who want to be inside the Cannes Film Festival's own history — the hotel facing the red-carpet steps since 1926, not a lookalike address nearby. Its suites carry real cultural weight, from Michèle Morgan's name to Dior's only suite of its kind in Europe. During the festival itself, expect a busier, more public hotel than usual; for a quieter Riviera stay, the calendar is worth checking before booking. For La Croisette itself, with the beach, the red carpet and the story that goes with it, this is the address.
